Cvent is sunsetting the standalone Prismm platform. New event creation is already ending account by account, the platform goes view‑only on 1 October 2026, and it closes at the end of the year. Templates do not migrate. Export your guest lists before the view‑only date.
Prismm started life as AllSeated in 2014: a fast, self‑serve seating and floor‑plan tool that a planner could learn in an afternoon. It rebranded to Prismm in January 2024, pivoted toward enterprise hospitality, and was acquired by Cvent in April 2025. Now it is being retired entirely.
If you are an independent wedding planner, the enterprise replacements are priced for hotels and convention centres and start with a demo call. Mezze is the other direction: seating‑first, self‑serve, and priced for someone running weddings rather than a venue sales pipeline.
Your guest list transfers as a CSV. It takes a few minutes and nothing has to be retyped.
What does not transfer: floor plans and templates. Cvent has confirmed templates do not migrate, which is true whichever tool you move to. In Mezze you rebuild the room from a room template in a couple of minutes, or upload a screenshot or PDF of your existing layout as a background and place tables on top of it to scale.
| Mezze | Prismm (AllSeated) | |
|---|---|---|
| Status | Active | Closing 31 December 2026 |
| Built for | Independent planners and couples | Venues, enterprise event teams |
| Sign‑up | Self‑serve, no card | Demo call required |
| Pricing | Free, then $24.99/mo or $199/yr | Custom quote, not published |
| Auto‑seating | Relationship‑aware: keep‑apart rules, households, singles, anchors | Diagram‑focused |
| Guest CSV import | Yes, with column mapping | Yes |
| Run of show | Included, multi‑day, cascading | Not the focus |
| Couple collaboration | Shared workspace, included on free | Team collaboration, enterprise tier |
| 3D venue walkthrough | No | Yes |
The honest caveat. If what you valued in Prismm was the 3D venue twin and the VR walkthrough, Mezze does not do that and is not going to. Cvent Event Diagramming is where that capability lives now. If what you valued was laying out a 150‑guest reception quickly and getting a clean chart out the other end, that is exactly what Mezze is for.
Prices in USD. No per-guest charge, no feature tiers, no watermark on exports.
Free for one active wedding, unlimited guests. No card, no demo call, no sales engagement.
Open Mezze — free →Cvent is retiring the standalone Prismm platform on 31 December 2026. New event creation is already being disabled account by account, and the platform becomes view-only on 1 October 2026. Export anything you need before the view-only date, because after it you can read your data but not create new events.
No. Cvent has confirmed templates do not migrate, and that applies to any destination tool, not just Mezze. Your guest list transfers cleanly as a CSV. For the room itself you either rebuild from a Mezze room template, which takes a couple of minutes, or upload a screenshot or PDF of your Prismm layout as a background image and place tables on top of it to scale.
Sign in to Prismm, open the event, and go to the Reports section. Set Report Type to Guests, use the Fields dropdown to include name, party size, RSVP status and any meal or dietary data you want to keep, then click GENERATE and export to CSV (Excel). Import that file into Mezze from the Guests page.
If the account is locked or the subscription has lapsed, the fallback is to work from whatever you still have: a PDF chart, a printed list, or a spreadsheet a vendor sent you. Mezze imports CSV and XLSX, so anything you can get into a spreadsheet will come across. For a small wedding, typing the list in directly is quicker than fighting a support queue.
Free covers one active wedding with an unlimited guest list, the shared couple workspace, vendor handoffs and every export with no watermark. Unlimited active weddings are $24.99 a month or $199 a year, in USD. There is no per-guest charge and no feature ladder.
No. You open the app in a browser and start. There is no sales call, no card required for the free tier, and no quote process.
